The heatwave is fruit forward rum cocktail featuring pineapple juice and dark rum.
- 1 oz. dark rum (like Myer's)
- 1/2 oz. peach schnapps
- 4 or 5 oz. pineapple juice
- 1 tsp. grenadine
Start with a highball glass loaded up with ice. Add the dark rum and peach schnapps, then top off the glass with pineapple juice. Give it a quick stir and while the drink is still in motion add the grenadine. If you want a more homogenous look you could always add the grenadine before you stir.
